CUT – SOLICITING BIDS FOR RETROFITTING DIESEL FLEET

CUT, a sub-awardee, has been awarded by the Port of Long Beach a grant through the
American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 to retrofit qualified diesel-powered
cargo handling equipment in Long Beach.
The breakdown of actions and equipment types are as follows:

Significant Dates:

19th October, 2009 – Bid process begins and interested vendors can request
Equipment list. *
28th October, 2009 - Site visit available by appointment only.
4th November, 2009 - Last day for vendors to request Equipment list.
16th & 17th November, 2009 – Site visit available by appointment only.
23rd & 24th November, 2009 - Site visit available by appointment only.
1st December, 2009 – Due date to provide final quotes. **
14th December, 2009 – Top vender (s) chosen.
* Equipment list will provide vehicle and engine – year, make, model, bhp, and
displacement.
** As required by EPS/POLB, quotes must be itemized to include Material, Labor,
Transportation (if applicable), Tax and grand total. All participants must
strictly follow vendor guidelines as dictated by the Environmental Protection
Agency and enforced by the Port of Long Beach. Additional information and
requirements will be provided as vendors are chosen.
